Experimental analysis of particle deposition in fibrous depth filters during gas cleaning using X-ray microscopy

چکیده

Microscopic data on airborne particle separation in depth filters are a key for understanding and predictive modeling of the evolution filtration properties such as pressure drop efficiency during process. Tomographic imaging techniques (e.g., MRI, CT) excellent methods 3D-resolved analysis microscopic loading behavior, but these often limited terms spatial resolution because low contrast between filter material particles. In this study, an X-ray microscope was used to analyze iodine-containing particles (d50,3 =1.5 µm) coarse dust (porosity: 0.98; fiber diameter: 24 µm). The use produced sufficient segmentation deposits filtration. established method allowed within mass, size distribution, shape formed time space. presented work provide new insights improved dynamic behavior materials.
